iSpy

A single loss control application to allow a simple reporting structure, a methodology to track key events and leverage against the latest technology

iSpy is a formal Loss Control Management System built on core IBM technology.

The application allows for two types of events which can be documented.  These events are the collated and appear as a report in the relevant managers in box daily.

The decision and ranking around the events is based on business configured module which allows the manager to ensure that the criteria defined for their business are reported and escalated according to the configuration the manager requires.

The Process Test

  • A pre-set list of questions relating to the required business and security procedures is set up for each process within a business area.
  • Each question has a simple answer – Yes, No or Not Applicable.
  • The operator is expected to complete a number of these process tests for the business areas during each shift.
  • If the business area is found to be non-compliant (the answer to the question is “No”) – then the operator must provide a description of the non-compliant situation. A message is automatically sent to the appropriate manager to inform him of the situation on completion of the test.
  • The overall test is stored and a measure of compliance is calculated.

The Occurrence Report

  • If the operator sees a problem during the normal course of his observation of the business, he is able to log an occurrence report.
  • The operator needs to detail what is seen as well as the action taken.
  • The relevant managers will be notified automatically on the submission of the report.
  • Statistics of the occurrences will be gathered per Business Area to assist in identifying problem areas.

Advanced Features

The system is available for integration into the Blue Tree SMS utility and the Blue Tree Websphere MQ integration utility.

The SMS utility allows for triggered events to notify key users of events via an SMS immediately, instant notification on the users cell phone.

The Websphere MQ integration utility allows for a predefined map to an MQ integration process for data transfer to other systems if required.

Custom modules can be built for the organisation, which will allow the business to grow the system for their own needs.

Frequently Asked Questions

How is access to the system controlled?

Every user of the system is registered and is provided a password.

The system authenticates and validates the user prior to allowing them to work.  Should an unauthorised person attempt to access the system, they will be denied access.  This applies to the management console and the user tracking and recording events.
